One Thing Led to Another eBook Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read

Never get too close to anyone, because you might have to kill them.
Meet Mark "Chopper" Read. You think you know him. His books have sold hundreds of thousands of copies in Australia. He's been the subject of an internationally successful film. His one-man shows have toured Australia to sell-out crowds. He's the most recognisable criminal brand name in Australia. But the truth is, you don't know him at all.
Toe-cutter. Blowtorch aficionado. Killer. Husband. Father. Children's author. Stand-up comedian. The real Chopper has been an enigma - until now, that is. This is the definitive Chopper story. From his strange, tortured childhood, to the formative years as a young gang member and developing criminal, to his decades in and out of prison in Victoria and Tasmania, to his friends and enemies, and his crimes and punishments, this book gives us the true stories that lie behind the Chopper myths, as well as the stories he's never revealed before.
One Thing Led To Another is the real story of the man behind the tattoos, the scars and the most famous missing ears in Australia. It is an utterly compelling insight into our most notorious, most recognisable and most fascinating criminal.

Talk about good timing - I purchased and read this book about a month before Mark Read's passing. I am so glad that I got to read this, somewhat clean version of his life before he passed away. I expect it was honest and candid, but some stuff that the more morbidly fascinated would want to know about prison life wasn't necessarily covered. I had always found him to be a compelling character in life and am glad he was able to commit his story to words for his children and the public before his death. He was a fascinating character both as a successful criminal and as an equally successful entrepeneur in his later life!

One Thing Led to Another eBook Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read Reviews
Ive read most of Chopper Read's books and this one is my favourite. You get to see more of the man himself in this one, intertwined with his very australian humour and some of the most entertaining stories I have read. I couldnt put this book down and regardless of the choices he has made,he has lived to tell the tale that would have made the average man buckle in an hour if they were in his shoes. I cant say that I agree with all the things he has done but he has incredible fortitude, courage, determination and luck. This man has been shot, stabbed ( several times) betrayed and removed his ears.
Once again reflects the sad reality that one faces when one is sucked into the vortex of the "system" However, trough comes wisdom, and through wisdom comes growth.
Fantastic book! So glad he let his readers meet all of him, this time. He deserved to have a book like this. "Chopper" is an complicated and intriguing person. A great read.
As usual no holds barred.
A very interesting life of that of a roller coaster, not for the squeamish.
With due respect to Chopper,he had a hard upbringing and introduction to life, but many others in similar situations have lifted and became credits to society.
Whatever, we all wish Chopper well, because he is no fool and now deserves a peaceful existince
